Afet ve Acil Tıp Derneği - Association of Disaster and Emergency Medicine (ADEM) was established in 2019 by Emergency Medicine Specialists, who have worked as both administrators and health rescuers in disasters in Turkey and the World, and whose academic studies are still ongoing. ADEM is in the class of associations operating in the field of Health. It has an academic journal named ''Journal of ADEM'' which publishes scientific studies in national and international arena. The association has a website called "adem-afat.com" and social media sites such as whatsapp and facebook. There are face-to-face and online training activities on the website for both health and disaster workers and the public. The association shares these works both on its social media accounts and on its website. ADEM association has no commercial gain, all trainings are provided free of charge, donations made after trainings are accepted. Therefore, there are no paid employees. The activities of the ADEM association are carried out with the support of the president of the association, the board of directors and its members.

Prof.Dr.Doğaç Niyazi Özüçelik worked as Istanbul Provincial Health Director in 2012. In 2012, he supported and contributed to the realization of the ‘’unimpeded 112 project’’ created for the hearing impaired. The Board of Directors of ADEM- association consists of Emergency Departments and Disasters in medical and rescue activities. They also provide disaster employees with emergency and rescue methods trainings. With its knowledge and experience, it will have both corporate and individual support for the project.
