Association  of Disaster and Emergency Medicine (ADEM) 

The "Vocational Sign Language in Medicine" Erasmus+ Project Istanbul Conference was presented by the Association  of Disaster and Emergency Medicine (ADEM) and its project partners (Katip Çelebi University Faculty of Medicine - Turkey, Mavi Pencere Special Education Association – Turkey,  Universidade Católica Portuguesa – Portugal, Fondazione Istituto dei Sordi di Torino ONLUS – Italy) to facilitate communication between hearing-impaired patients and their families and healthcare professionals during disasters and emergencies. The Istanbul Conference was presented by the President of the Association of Disaster and Emergency Medicine, Prof. Dr. Doğaç Niyazi ÖZÜÇELİK, Prof. Dr. Sezgin SARIKAYA, and Dr. Mustafa YAZICIOĞLU. The Istanbul Conference will be held on December 18, 2025, and will bring together medical students, nursing and emergency medical technician students, physicians, nurses, paramedics, and academics.
